Nutella is the brand name of a chocolate hazelnut spread of the Italian company Ferrero.
The paste was developed in 1949 and introduced to the market in 1964, initially under the name “Supercrema Gianduja. Ferrero Towards the end of 1963 registered the brand name “Nutella”, while the picture on the label, which has remained unchanged thereafter. Also on the shape of the pot is proprietary.
Such a combination of hazelnut and chocolate was developed in the early nineteenth century by chocolate makers in Turin and surroundings to save on the amount of cocoa. Today the product is sold worldwide and is especially in Europe, Australia and the United States very popular.
